JUST CHECKING IN....IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR GRADES...

I HOPE TO CHECK IN WITH EACH ONE OF YOU BY FRIDAY...BUT IN THE MEANTIME PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW....

I will be checking in late work and everything turned in to me before Friday March 13, before E-Learning.  This grade will be your OFFICIAL PROGRESS REPORT GRADE.  If you owe me AP classroom quizzes or other work from before March 13th please complete those and send them to me by FRIDAY, March 20!  I will give you the opportunity to complete UNIT 7 FRQ CORRECTIONS before Friday so check your emails and the blog before then.

With e-learning assignments, your grade for class for cannot go below the Progress Report Grade BUT your grade can be improved on.  As of now until March 30th, E-LEARNING WORK CAN ONLY HELP YOUR GRADE NOT MAKE IT GO LOWER!  However, please keep in mind that all of you are required to take the AP TEST still scheduled for May 4th.  This is the FINAL Unit in preparation for that so you might not want to squander the opportunity to get ready for this.  After we finish the unit, and after SPRING BREAK, we plan on will be providing a lot of REVIEW work and you will have a long-term CIVIC ENGAGEMENT project to complete to end the year...  BUT...just so you understand...

EXAMPLE: If you have a "B" on Progress Reports issued Monday, March 23rd, an E-Learning assignment grade CANNOT make that grade go lower only higher.  So if you complete enough work to raise your grade to an "A" you will earn the "A."  If you DO NOT complete the work your grade will stay as a "B."

EXAMPLE: If you have an "F" on Progress Reports issued Monday, March 23rd, AND if you do nothing, your grade will remain an "F".  If you complete make-up work and your e-learning assignments you CAN raise your grade and pass!  This is the policy until March 30th.  SO, IF THIS IS YOU - GET YOUR WORK DONE!

As of now this is the information we have been given.

I do not know if there will be changes to E-Learning, grading, or school after March 30th.

I do not know if the College Board that administers AP tests will keep,  postpone, or cancel the AP tests.

All I know is that we do not have to make up the school days for the 2 weeks we are home, and your grades as of March 13 are valid and will be "official" so I am taking great care to make sure they are accurate.

Please check your grades carefully on Friday and make sure there are no discrepancies. Please email me any questions or concerns.

THANKS!  MISS YOU ALL! ...AND THAT'S THE TEA! :)
Ms. Ryan
